To win the Campaign, the player must win 14 battles. To engage in BATTLES, there is only 1 Button: A! However, pressing A does a lot in this game. Each time the player presses A in the WAR screen, 6 random numbers are generated. They produce 3 values for each player: STRENGTH, ATTACK CLASS and RANK.
- STRENGTH is between 0-14 and always trumps the other aspects. Of course in the event of a tie, an all out, side scrolling WAR starts. Whoever does the most damage in that WAR is awarded 3 BATTLE Wins. The player loses the battle when he has inferior STRENGTH.
- However there are 2 chances for redemption, which are both difficult.
- When ATTACK CLASSES (AIR, LAND, and SEA) match, the player will enter a SHOOTOUT. The player will have a set amount of time to hit targets in a first-person style. Various weapons may be used. Whoever hits the most targets get an excellent prize: The opponent's wins are totally deleted.
- If RANKS (SERGEANT, WARRANT OFFICER, CAPTAIN, COLONEL) are the Same, the player will complete a secret mission with variable rewards. This mission will relate to whichever General you are facing.
