Portrait of Vondrack - Level Guide & the Portrait
Taking the Job
Arriving at the Castle of Justinian Caligari was just another day on the job. I'm here to steal his stuff so I can keep the lights on.
As usual the three tiers of items will let me know which are worth more, just as we learned in training. The vampires come out when we run out of time/take too long to maneuver. When in the coffin, I don't bother them, they don't bother me. Vampires will die when hit with the flaming arrow. It's better to flee but if I have to, I use the crossbow. I can either go in stealth or brutal, just trying to kill them vampires each chance I get.
The Portrait
The portrait is worth thousands.; Satan was said to have painted it to remind Vondrack of how he looked before their deal. I would retire if I ever found it. However, no one knows where It is. Probably not in this castle. Caligari family was an enemy Vondrack.
The Map
This house has a fairly normal layout, but I don't expect to move in a linear fashion. I will need to keep my bearings about me (use SELECT).
Room 1: Grand Entrance
This room has high ceilings so I should be able to hop the coffin no problem.
Room 2: Observation
This one will require vertical movement but there looks to be multiple exits- perfect.
Room 3: Hallway
Two vamps might hinder me here, might need to take a scenic route. Watch out for those spikes.
Room 4: Bridgeway
Something seems off about some of these stones. Better move fast and precise.
Room 5: Attic 1
Mechanical traps are common, the crossbow can throw switches as well as drop the vampires.
Room 6: Attic 2

Where did the floor go here?
Room 7: Old Prison
This dingy old place used to house Caligari's prisoners. Sure there are multiple buried in that center section. These exits and entrances are purposely crossed and the prison exit seems to be hidden as well.
Room 8: Prison Torture Chamber

Damn, looks like they used to slowly lower prisoners on these chains until they got to the last link and fell into the abyss. Spike guard the entrance, there must be a way to retract them.
Room 9: Smashing Room
That hanging block was used to crush beasts. Since we subgrade, all kinds of creatures could come in.
Room 10: Grand Hall
The Shroud of House Caligari. I wonder why it is so dark in the Grand Hall.
Room 11: Elevation
They are using a reflective spell to move vertically here. Can't get stuck in the hall with these 2.
Room 11: Inverted

What the hell???

I better collect as much loot as I can. I could buy my way back if I die in here.
